Order-Process

Each sculpture starts as rods of glass that I melt and manipulate in a propane and oxygen torch. (See photos to the right) I typically create each sculpture on a 3/32" mandrel, creating a vertical hole through the sculpture. I can create a sculpture without a hole, if you prefer. It has taken me 6 years to develop the needed skills to create these one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Including the prep time needed to blend colors and create custom canes, I may work at the torch as long as 4.5 hours straight to complete one sculpture.

An approximately 1" sculpture costs $189; an approximately
2" sculpture costs $224. If you would like me to design and create a custom necklace, frame or display for you, additional charges will apply. We will reach agreement on the final price before I proceed.

You can pay for the sculpture over time if that's best for you.
I will I require a deposit of $75 before I begin.

It typically takes me 2-3 attempts to capture your dog's "essence." I will seek your feedback throughout the process
to ensure we have the same vision.

Once you have approved a photo of the completed piece
and have paid in full, I will carefully pack the piece and ship it to you insured. In the unlikely event that you do not approve the piece after I have sculpted your dog a maximum of 3 times, I reserve the right to keep the entire deposit. (To date, this has never happened.)

There are no refunds or exchanges on custom orders once they have been shipped, unless they arrived damaged.

Vicki selectively accepts commissions to sculpt miniature heads of treasured dogs. She only accepts projects that she is confident she can complete beautifully. For example she may decline sculpting a dog with an entirely black face unless the customer accepts that many of the dog's details may not show clearly.
