CURRENT PROJECTS

With my assistance, you or your child can create one of the following projects:

Make a glass bead or a pendant that I will string for you on a multistrand 18" adjustable necklace.

Make a glass bead with a large hole that can fit on a Pandora or Troll size necklace or bracelet. (An ideal gift for women who already own a Pandora/Troll necklace or bracelet)

Make a bead that I will place on a key ring, bracelet, ankle bracelet or bookmark for you.

Remember that little clay dish you made with your handprint in it? Your parents treasured that gift and probably still have it on display. Now your child (age 10 and up) can make a beautiful glass bead or pendant at the torch for their special mom, dad, or even for themselves. You are welcome to try your hand, too.

I am offering a limited opportunity for you or your child to make beautiful beads and pendants by melting glass at the torch. Check our calendar for scheduled dates. Participants must be at least 10 years old. Adults are welcome, too. (If the person is under 18 years old, they must be accompanied by a responsible adult.)

I will guide each person step-by-step through the hands-on process. Your private appointment will last 30-45 minutes.

POINTERS:

We will be working at a torch with an open flame. Please keep that in mind when deciding who would be an appropriate participant.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for your scheduled time. During that time you can select your project and browse through the items I have made. You may also be able to watch others as they complete their projects.

Wear something comfortable, preferably mostly cotton, wool, or other natural fibers. Don't wear anything you love in case a small piece of hot glass lands on you.

If you have long hair, tie it back.

Your bead or necklace must be placed in a kiln overnight before it is ready to be taken home. You may either set up a time to pick up your creation at the studio or I can mail it to you for an additional charge of $5 payable at the time of your visit.
